| Provides technical, educational, and
coordinating support to ensure efficient and accurate point of care
testing for all areas; coordinates and communicates with reference labs.
Monitors staff compliance of policies/procedures that meet federal and
state regulations and accreditation standards. Provides technical
guidance to staff regarding lab tests and procedures, performs control
checks, proficiency testing, periodic maintenance on equipment and
assists with patient care as needed, including phlebotomy Operates lab
instruments effectively to provide accurate and timely results to our
customers. Works with the team to project the MPACT standards. Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with at least one year experience with high complexity testing, or Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical technology program with at least two years experience with high complexity testing, or A minimum of 3 years experience in an accredited laboratory. Experience with Point of Care Testing, or Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MT (ASCP) or categorical, HTL (ASCP), CT (ASCP), MT (AMT), CHT, CHS, MLT (ASCP). MT(NCA)
